Y Cŵn Annwn. Hounds of the Otherworld.
Hand-thrown, painted and carved mug. The favourite hunting hounds of Arawn, King of the Annwfn land of the Tylwyth Têg (the fair folk), playing in the forest. It is said that they will often hunt deer and boar on the mountain Cadair Idris near Dolgellau.
Made with Terracotta clay fired to 1220°C. Although microwave and dishwasher safe, handwashing is recommended to enhance the quality and life span of your piece. Remember, all the oldest surviving ceramics never got this modern treatment!
